Works great out of the box

I was debating doing a DIY build but saw this on a black Friday deal. It does everything your need and is easily portable. Simple set up and great app/wifi functionality. Very happy with it!

    Incredible powerstations!

Recently purchased the anker f3800 power stations with the smart backup panel. Currently I have been using the power stations with the dual hub accessorie primarily for my 5th wheel toyhauler and my home back up generator 50amp hook up. Very used to needing to have back up power in Florida. The results are impressive. The RV is a walk in the park. Everything works with ease as it should, both a/c units refrigerator water pump and even the electric water heater. I had no doubt with the camper. Even more impressive, is the home back up. I conduct a 48 hours off grid test with great results. I conducted my test with everything operating normally excluding the use of central air. Hot water hear, stove, well pumps, and even the dreaded drier all worked. I would suggest using the drier or oven separately due to the high watt and amp draw so you don't overload the system causing the breaker to trip. I surpassed 48 hours and made it to 60 hours no problem and could keep going and recharging with only half the solar inputs each unit can accept. A truly remarkable system that really is portable and easy to use. Soon my smart transfer switch will be mounted and full array of solar panels and 2 more expansion batteries. More to come with Anker!

    3800 unit

I am sure this is as good as it gets in solar backup. I am a little disappointed in the lack of human assistance. I am a novice in solar. I learned unfortunately that as as one in his seventies this may not be the best option. I am about to sell the entire package before adding more cost with roof panels and the switch needed. Leaning toward a standby generator with people who I can talk to without excessive research.

First purchase, but not the last

Very impressed with F 3800, works just the way it’s supposed to. Tested customer service just as I did equipment and found them to be very responsive both times I called. Second order in transit and scheduled to be here this week

    Technically solid, practically…meh

We bought this system specifically to keep food from spoiling during an extended power outage as well as having light at night and keep a phone charged. First, the good stuff. Product is built like a tank and functions well. Ran my freezer continuously from 100% to 15% charge in 32.5 hrs, fridge from 100% to 15% in 29 hrs, and both simultaneously from 100% to 15% in 28 hrs. Recharged each time to 100% from house power in about 2 hrs. By managing power usage appropriately, you could keep food cold and frozen during a power outage for several days before having to recharge. Unfortunately the rate of recharge using a single 400W solar panel is so slow as to be impractical. You WILL NOT get 400W out of this panel and you WILL NOT be able to recharge the unit in a single day of sunlight, at least not during the winter months when outages are most common here. AT A MINIMUM this system requires two 400W panels and there is a reason why it’s built to accommodate four. But Anker does allude to this in their advertisements, you just have to pay attention to what they’re saying.
