I live in a hurricane-prone area and work from home. I purchased the F3800, transfer panel, cable and two 405W rigid panels over two weeks ago based on the advertised SAME DAY SHIPPING. I have been told twice that my order shipped, only to find out that they were both partial shipments. I am told, "They do not know when they will ship the transfer panel and cable." This is unacceptable. I am now looking at another hurricane approaching. I have scheduled and canceled an electrician twice, and I have no idea when I can use my F3800. Customer/shipping support at this point is a joke.
Delivery on time and communication good
Packaging sturdy and secure
Customer service (Antony) excellent
Still awaiting solar panels which shipped from another location and by LTL because of size
While the FedEx guy probably hates me now, because these F3800’s weigh A LOT, and I ordered two, these showed up in perfect condition and ready to go. Plugged them in and they were both at about 85% charged when I received them, immediately hooked them up to my new transfer station and began running two refrigerators, sump pump, and mech room items like a network switch, router, modem, etc. and the 3800’s ran great. Fans are quiet and display isn’t obnoxious. If there is anything I might wish could be changed is how the Double Power switch is so big and heavy but doesn’t have any mounting keyholes or other hardware to secure to a wall or such. I plan on getting some 1.5” conduit hangers to resolve this though. All in it’s going to be a continuous party next time the power goes out over here!
There should be different AC charging options like it won't use AC to charge the batteries until the batteries are dead. Also it's really stupid that when you plug it in it shuts half the receptacles off and passes through the other half. And the outlets are too close so you can't use every single outlet. You have to do every other one. And they shouldn't advertise it as a whole house power station when there's not enough battery power in it to last half a day
I am impressed with the build quality. It is working as advertised so far.
Next I will put solar panel charging on it which will give me whole house backup during power outages. It is very quiet and easy to move around as needed inside my garage or house.
I recommend it.
