Anker cheaped out on the documentation

For a $$$$ purchase, I would expect to receive a printed user manual in the package. But no, the entirety of the documentation included with this purchase (C1000 plus BP1000, in two shipments) is: User Guides (note, not User Manuals) for the two units, and a Warranty Card.

So what's in the User Guides? Information on how to use the units? Nope, nothing more than Important Safety Instructions (don't use it in the bathtub, folks) and some QR codes for "online support" and the "Anker app." What's the Warranty Card? Another QR code. Seriously, Anker, get your nose out of your phone; some of us want physical documents. How much more does it cost to ship a few additional pages in a ~30 pound box?

After extensive searching, I finally found actual PDF User Manuals for the two units. Of course, why didn't I think to look on shopify.com first??

I've been an Anker advocate, but the recent poor performance of their portable chargers (I guess now they're "power banks") and this latest deficiency are lowering my opinion of the company.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the lack of a printed user manual in the package.

At Anker, we are actively responding to the call for environmental sustainability by promoting electronic manuals for our products. We understand that this may have caused some difficulty in finding the necessary usage instructions, and we apologize for any frustration this has caused.

We appreciate your feedback and will actively relay it to our internal teams. We hope to make targeted adjustments in the future, such as adding quick start guides or other helpful documentation.

We would really like to be in touch to see what we can do to take care of you! Please reach out to us at support@anker.com so that we can assist you further and find a solution as quickly as possible. We value your business and are committed to resolving this issue to your satisfaction.

Shipping took too long, plan ahead for that

Great Product. When I ordered, 3-7 days was given, no problem, will get here well before the thanksgiving holiday when I would be gone for 4 days. It did not take 3-7 days it took longer and was scheduled to arrive the first day I was gone. I had to pay FEDEX to reschedule the delivery. Great Product though.

We're sorry that you've had to wait a long time during our pre-sale period.

We are actively doing everything we can to expedite future shipments and create a better shopping experience for you.

If there's anything else we can help with, please email us at support@anker.com or call us at +1 (800) 988-7973. Our goal is to reply to emails within 24 hours, Monday through Friday.

Backup Power for Separate Refrigerator and Freezer

I have purchased two C1000 with backup batteries. One is located in the kitchen for the refrigerator and the other in the garage for the freezer. I bought the kitchen power source, initially without the expansion battery, for short term power outages running in UPS mode. The outages tend to happen in the summer where power usually will go out no longer than a few hours at a time. I tested the source before I bought the expansion battery and it lasted more than 9 hours. It was losing about 8% battery life every hour on average. I stopped the test before it went below 10%. I happened to order the second C1000 with the BP1000 just before hurricane Milton formed and unfortunately, I didn't receive it until after the hurricane passed. I also ordered the BP1000 for the kitchen power source, after the storm, for handling the longer outages. The kitchen C1000 stayed connected while I was running parts of the house on either generator or my larger F2600 with its expansion battery. It worked as a backup to the backup and never had any issues. The fridge would continue to run while I swapped back and forth between generator and the F2600. During the outage, it was accessible through Bluetooth from around the house and allowed me to monitor power consumption which told me everything was working as I had hoped. The two C1000+BP will now run 100% of the time in UPS mode and the F2600+BP will be connected to my generator sub-panel during any long term outages. The combination of the three sources + generator will allow me to run the generator no more than 6 hours a day conserving propane and gas in the event of a long term loss of fuel.
I plan on replacing a few UPS units in the house with more power sources as the older UPS SLA batteries have a short run time and short life.

Both units were received with older firmware and they updated without issues. Just remember that if it is updated while the unit is in operation, that the output might be disabled afterward. It happened on both sources and the output had to be manually turned on.

The only recommendations I would have for improvement would be...
    1. Allow the user to set a minimum percent of battery life before it shuts off. This way you could prevent the source from reaching 0%. The same feature should also be available for the expansion batteries.
    2. Provide a way to download data for processing in a spreadsheet (ie csv). I want to monitor the power source's average power output on the different connectors. I would like it mostly for the AC output to use it as a glorified Kill a watt meter.

    Amazing set up!

I can't praise this system enough! Everything works amazing!!! The only thing I wish they'd change is the ability to solar charge and ac charge at the same time.
