Very effective for what it does. It hold the phone at a convenient reading angle from my workstation desktop, all the while charging. I have it placed under my workplace monitors. It is stable enough to touch and scroll to get texts, notifications, etc. I bought the black so it appears that the phone is hovering above the keyboard, under the monitors.
