I’m having a hard time getting past how misleading and useless the lifetime use feature is. I REALLY feel like this feature would be much more useful if it actually represented the amount of time that the charger was charging something. After charging something for approximately three hours, it showed a lifetime use of 24 hours. Because the charger happened to be plugged into an outlet for 21 hours with no devices plugged into it.
Love my new Anker Charger! The display is very helpful and provide great information. I would love a second one for when I am on the road.
I like this product because it replaces my laptop USB C charger. It’s able to charge it and a few other accessories. Of course the screen makes the product feel luxurious, you can see exactly how much power is flowing through the cables. Now when I travel I just grab this guy a few cables and my laptop. I no longer have to take the laptops power brick.
When i travel one of the bigs parts of keeping my equipment charged is having the power and cords along with enough to power more then one at a time with more than 1 time. This checks all the boxes to do just that on the go. The bonus is also buying the Anker 140w charger. This way, I can charge my equipment and power bank quickly. A real WIN/WIN situation
The charger is powerful ENOUGH, but it never sees 140w output and it's actually LESS powerful than my dead and returned 717 wall charger, according to my 737 power bank.
But it still has all the same problems that the 717 had.
• Never reaches rated output.
• Consistently overheats and shuts off with lengthy, high-output charging sessions over 30-45 minutes.
It absolutely *NEEDS* a proper cooling system, and it's just gonna continue to have problems until it gets one.
Anker is just gonna have to bite the bullet on this, increase the size of the unit by about 90% and PUT A DAMN FAN ON IT!!
People who buy these chargers for their output will be nothing but disappointed by the AVERAGE output level of the unit.
Given how much it fluctuates in output, I'd recommend keeping it throttled back to 90-100 watts with a lower-rated 100w cable, for steadier more consistent output.
Sorry Anker, I wish I had better things to say. 🥺
