I purchased one of these to use on a Thru Hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. I also used a solar panel hat with a small battery. Through the desert, the solar hat and battery worked well and I rarely needed the Anker. I entered the Sierra and had pine tree coverage, so my solar hat didn’t charge my little battery very well. I had to use my Anker two nights. The first night, my phone was at 71%. The Anker dropped to 61% to charge my phone to 100%. The second time, my phone was at 40%, and only got to 100% before the Anker was at 0%. I sleep with my electronics, phone in airplane mode, and keep them under my jacket when it’s cold. Being that these batteries are extremely heavy, it’s sad to know I have been carrying one for so long and a useless paperweight for 700+ hiking miles.

This was the smallest high charge rate (laptop power) battery bank I could find. It has worked great. Really like that it shows the power rate (watts) both in and out and delivers power at the same speed as my OEM charger for my Dell XPS 13 and, in turn, when connected to a fast power supply, charges up fast as well. I have also been impressed with its ability to hold a 100% charge for weeks at a time when not using it.I take it whenever I may need laptop power and have unreliable power like on most airplanes or airports due unavailability of power or loose worn out receptacles that won't hold onto a power supply. Of course it also provides robust power for any lessor need such as tablets, phones, drones, lights, tools, etc.To put the size in perspective its overall volume is not much more than my iPhone 16 Pro (regular not Max) with a smaller footprint but a bit more than twice the thickness and it weighs a bit more and it feels just a bit heavier at 12oz vs 9oz for the phone with case.

I bought this for my kids to use on trips and just daily use, they love podcast and audio books so they go through their devices battery pretty quick. This is perfect sweet spot between capacity and physical size. They are slim enough to palm for a kid but not heavy were they would drop it. I am very particular and specific about my power banks. Yes, I could go purchase some generic power bank of Amazon but let’s be real, Anker delivers on quality.

This is my second Anker power and they keep improving. Very fast recharge and reliable power output.
