I have an Otterbox Commuter Series case and this charger works just fine with it. I use it as my night dock for my phone.

This thing is very convenient. I liked it so much I brought it to my office to use it at my desk all day. Charges my airpods and my iPhone. Has a very strong magnetic grab to hold my phone in place. Love that it enables my phone to display the music I'm listening to while I work. I bought this to use with an iPhone 14 pro in a Smartish magsafe-compatible case (pretty thin, no wallet pouch or other magnet-blockers). The charging stand's magnet is just the right strength to easily pull the phone off and quietly reattach without fuss. The alarm clock mode on the phone kicks in immediately. My airpods charge on the back of the stand's foot - they do get a little warm but nothing concerning - so this is truly a great 2-in-1 device for magsafe apple phones and compatible airpods. I already had an Anker USB-C wall plug and just use that with the included cable. Fantastic product design and execution.
